I have some questions about your operations and would like to find out more.
Cuadrilla would like to highlight that all of its operations are subject to the same stringent regulations which govern all onshore natural gas and oil exploration.
Approval to drill for natural gas requires an exploration licence from the Department of Energy and Climate Change; planning permission; and is regulated and supervised by the Health and Safety Executive and Environment Agency.
This website contains detailed information about Cuadrilla’s operations, including the stringent safety and environmental protection measures it undertakes, and the benefits that extraction of natural gas can yield.
We welcome communication with all members of the community and we are happy to answer questions and address any concerns people may hold.
You can get in touch using our online contact form. Alternatively you can speak to our community enquiries team on the Freephone Information Line – 0800 170 1115.
What insurance does Cuadrilla have?
Cuadrilla has a comprehensive insurance policy in place designed specifically to cover liabilities that may arise from its operations. At every point during our operations this insurance has been in place. The level of cover in place is regularly assessed by benchmarking other operators, to ensure appropriate cover is provided. Cuadrilla will not conduct any activities, including hydraulic fracturing, without appropriate insurance cover.
